Bhindi(okra) Bhaji(indian recipe) with masala

Bhindi is also known as okra or ladies finger. Most of the people in India love to eat Bhindi recipe. This vegetable is mostly found in Asia. If a western friend want to make that recipe then he/she have to buy canned Bhindi. Today you are going to learn a Bhindi bhaji recipe that you will be able to make very easily.


Ingredients to make Bhindi bhaji:

  • 200gm fresh Bhindi chopped(1 inch long)
  • 1 large onion(chopped)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ cup fresh chopped coriander leaves
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tea spoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ¼ tea spoon black pepper powder
  • Salt(to taste)
  • Sugar(to taste)
  • ½ tea spoon garam masala
  • ¼ cup oil for frying
  • Bay leaf 1 pcs

Preparation:

  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion and bay leaf. Add water in to it and add garlic paste, blackpepper and coriander
  • Add chopped Bhindi into the mixture and add salt and sugar
  • Add tomato sauce to it and cook it about 20 minutes on a low flame
  • Add coriander leaves and garam masala and cook it about 5 minutes
